act of total christmas greed I've ever read about.
How can someone be this cold?

"Maria Grigorian said she took her daughter, Michelle, to the North Shore Mall in Peabody to visit Santa Claus.
However, when the 4-year-old got to the front of the line, she was not allowed to sit on Santa's lap because her mother did not have cash to pay for the picture.

Grigorian said the least expensive photo offered was $21"

And they use the children to squeeze the money out of the parents. Yuck.

Yeah, this is low, but have confidence. Someone should be able to top (bottom?) this - there's still 24 shopping days til Christmas.

This shouldn't be surprising. Christmas is but a marketing and money making holiday. Very little of it actually has anything to do with Christ. It's always been associated with material possessions and money.

And many other things that are just as important, such as being with family and friends, the gift of giving, food  and the Christmas spirit altogether.
Unfortunately we've grown into a world where money is valuable to some and will take low blows to get them.

Christmas, other than snow (it brings color and excitement to the cold dead world;p), is the only one I look forward to in Winter.

I realize that there are people out there that will be cold like those in that news story, but it is still hard to believe that one would be so low to break the heart of a believing child. :x

Go to Ebay and do a search for "Xbox 360"

Shameless.

Some, if not most retailers, have truly forgotten what the Christmas spirit is all about. We can only hope that child isn't scarred by this even if this is only one of Santa?s helpers. The magic of Christmas isn?t just for the young but the adults that enjoy the happiness it creates in the young.

Last year Santa was nice enough to visit my sick little girl at home because she wasn?t able to be in public. We were able to get photos of it and gave Santa and his helpers a nice tip. When we went to pick up the photos from the store Santa told us they used the tip to purchase photos for another family that couldn?t afford them otherwise. When you take your child to see Santa leave a little extra, maybe it will help someone who needs it. If you know of a retail Santa that has forgotten the magic take them aside and politely remind them.

I have a feeling the North Shore Mall will either be changing their policy or losing business.

If they make too many little girls cry, nobody will give them any money. This means they'll probably earn the most if they allow kids to sit on Santa's lap without paying.
