It would probably only make sense if you're familiar with the American fast-food industry. First off, I'm guessing you don't really have any idea who the guy in the king suit is. He's part of an advertising campaign for Burger King, a national chain of burger joints. (Most of the commercials he's in are just plain bizarre, as a side note. ) All of the other places he's standing in this video are other fast-food restaraunts. I've probably completely killed any humor in the joke by now, but at least you know.roid wrote:cool song
but i don't get why it's funny
yeah i get that they were other fast food places, and he was probabaly the mascot for burger king in the usa. but i guess the humour plays on the "bizare burger king ads" thing.
we have the burger king franchise here in australia, but for some strange copywrite reason it's instead called "Hungry Jacks". It has the exact same logo though. Their big burger (like the big-mac) is called a "Whopper". It's weird, they try to put on this "very australian" image in their ads, but everyone knows they are just burgerking with a different name.
Hungry Jacks doesn't have any mascot or guy with a mask or plastic face or anythign like that used in their ads.

I think the bizarreness of the Burger King ads does have something to do with it, but I just laughed at the fact that their mascot was dancing around and flipping off other fast-food places to some funky music.
It's funny you should mention Hungry Jack's; I've seen pictures of their logo before, and I honestly thought that they had just ripped off Burger King's design. I never realized that both chains were owned by the same franchise. I wonder what drove them to change the name...
