Nah... The Daily Show carries more of a leftward slant than you give it credit for, Hostile. They'll poke at everyone, but generally it's a poke in the eye when the right messes up and a poke in the belly when the left is in a similar situation. The Daily Show does, however, acknowledge that they ...

Remarks like, "OH T3H NOES!! KIRRY IS TeH BAbAY KIELLAR!" aren't going to garner your posts a lot of respect around here, Kd. People tend to pay a little more attention to well-developed arguments, not bold, italic and/or red text with capitalized buzz words and excessive punctuation. I'm actually ...

I was looking up articles on NTFS a while back, and I seem to recall that maximum drive space is a function of the file allocation table, not the OS. FAT32 tops out at something like 128GB, while NTFS goes all the way up to 10+TB. You can do a quick search on Microsoft's website for NTFS if you want ...

...wanted the U.S. to put water out in the desert so the poor illegals wouldn't die from thirst? If you put a few on the American side of the border, you've got the flies-to-honey effect. Have INS hiding somewhere nearby, then send the buggers back. Of course, I suppose once you step into Congress ...

Kyouryuu has a good point that if the game is going to have mass appeal to the FPS audience, WADS+mouse will be an essential control scheme. Of course, if the game is going to retain much of a Descenter-following, the option to use a joystick has to remain. I believe it was Krom (and I don't feel ...

Something tells me that this was triggered by a bit that appeared on Countdown last night. The number three story was mostly about an upcoming (with about zero marketing budget) movie called Outfoxed , about Rupert Murdoch's hand in the news media. Keith Olberman (Countdown's host) hinted at some ...

Might I suggest the gauntlets going on the lower hands and the weapon and shield in the upper hands? It seems like an overhead swing with that axe (or blocking an overhead swing from someone else) might be a tad difficult. Of course, I say this having never been a four-armed uber-minotaur before ...

...we know Bush has the cajones... Yeah, yeah. Bush has balls (and you're obsessed with them), but he also lacks discretion and has an acute inability to think with anything but those balls, it seems. 5) Add your own question. 5) Do we have the troops to do it while maintaining a volunteer military ...

I'm pretty liberal, and I've no real interest in seeing Fahrenheit 9/11 (not that any cinema in East Tennessee is going to show it anyway). Even from the advertising, it's quite apparent that a number of Moore's criticisms rely on half-truths and political spin-doctoring. Just because Moore admits ...

4) And last but certainly not least, if you use a router, thier tech guys call you up and threaten to disconnect you and press charges. That depends entirely on who you get on the phone when you call tech support. I had some connectivity issues with Comcast a while ago, and one day, I got a person ...

I can see where the current system of arresting criminals after they've committed a crime can seem flawed, but there's a lot of problems with trying to institute a system where people get arrested before committing a crime.....like knowing if the person will ...

Actually, Comcast was bought out by Viacomm, I believe. Certain Viacomm channels that were once pay channels (Disney Channel comes to mind) are being added to the basic cable lineup, while I'm guessing some of the competition is pulling out. Likewise, in my area at least, several satelite providers ...

Tyr, do you browse with your font size set to "medium" or something else? If it's been set to medium the whole time, of course it looks the same. Try rotating through the size options and see if anything changes. Quoted text will scale properly, as I described earlier, but most everything else will ...
And as Archaeloidic said, the template we're using consumes 150 pixels of the side ill-regardless. Seriously... Narrow the name column a bit more. :P Limiting icon pixel sizes and then leaving the column a width that assumes 100+ pixel-wide icons is a silly oversight. Actually, I wouldn't care what ...

Text Size Bug
Two closely related bugs, really... First off, most of the text in posts and the forum indices does not conform to the browser size settings. I've always had it set to "smaller" since quite a few websites I browse, including the DBB, use an absurdly huge font size. Just to be sure the font size didn ...

You'll find some interesting stuff if you look through state laws about the death penalty. There's still one or two states that allow hanging and lethal injection. Texas only got rid of the firing squad a few years ago. I don't remember if Florida is still using the infamous "Sparky" or if they went ...

Google comes up with some interesting reports when searching for various permutations of "bird-dinosaur missing links". The first few are about a find in Arizona during the late 1990's that was apparently <a href=http://www.arn.org/docs/pearcey/np_hespotlight0300.htm>a hoax</a>. In 2001, <a href ...
