Look for calls to os.system in d3gui.py. It's called from two different locations, one of which is in join_game() and another in join_manual_game(). join_game() is called when you click and join a game on the server list whereas join_manual_game() is called when you use the `Join Manual IP' option ...

Your kidding, right? You realize that we are talking about Michigan here... not California. I'm not kidding. I don't know where you live, even less how far away your guests are coming from, and I have absolutely no idea what the difference between Michigan and California is in whatever sense ...

psychology is bull**** imo. no one really knows what anyone is thinking The point is hardly to know what other people think but rather to find patterns in behaviour. Those can be found, although it obviously doesn't always work. People who praise it as the solver of all problems aren't right. Those ...

Then that clown at the UN calling our aid "stingy" 15 million upped to 20. I think I read where the whole EU gave 4? I don't know what had been done before the 28th (the date of your post) but Sweden alone has now given (or decided to give, I don't know which) 75 million USD, and Britain is among ...

It can't launch D3. Well, it can, but it can't give it the IP address. However, even though it doesn't give the game the IP address in any way the latter would understand it, to me it looks like it does pass the IP address to the game without a preceding, corresponding command-line argument (e.g ...

University of Helsinki. Here, you can go to the university of your choice. No criteria to get accepted, if you pay the $450 yearly fee you're in :) Funny, here it's exactly the other way around. There are criteria for acceptance, but there's no yearly fee. (Material like books etc. obviously does ...

Gren, U are absolutely right on that Like I said, the difference is that having a tool like Vortex for Windows doesn't take anything away from the users of the other systems. An incompatible version of the game does. Not writing a tool for all platforms isn't active splitting of the community. Yes ...

(Partially) OT: Some people play to become better players. Mastering the game is an end to them. These people play for the feeling they get from the game -- they get it from the pleasure of managing to improve their gameplay and from the competition. For others, this famous 'skill' may be one means ...

As stated before, there are members of this community who are willing to work on it and see it through to its completion. Hopefully, something will come out of this to resolve the issues and benefit us all. It can't be completed without the source code, and that has not been published. I'm not at ...

it was reopened, thereby sending a precident that things like that were okay. Ok, taking this in another direction- isn't the company that owns the rights to the patch either dead or hanging by a thread? Doesn't the patch become open domain once (I assume interplay) goes under? (didn't they a couple months ago?) The copyright of the code was owned by Outrage, not Interplay ...

This is no feature request -- I know ...
