kidding. Nice ones. but why is the pyro so 'isometric' while the fog effect has all the perspective pumped up? and why doesn't the pyro get a little of the colored lights?

I got it. No glow, or limited glow. Solid red, partial highlights, bare orange gradient. The image I ended up with surprised me, I guess you will appreciate too. Be patient...

(p.s. you can extract a non-jpeg version of that bg using hamm tool on the d1 big file. it is a pcx format)

All those primaries... it's too colorful an glossy, not very friendly to the descent atmospheres. The flares are too large.

Don't forget the slight red glow on the lower rocks. Do you mean the rock behind the letters? Great job! I think it would look best if the letters were red-painted metal and scratched to all hell. yes, you're right. When i did the secondaries, about 6 months ago, i didn't have all the knowledge wich i've got now and wasn't able to make such (i think) high quality renders like the phoenix. Obviously i've stored all the source files for every item so I can do some "remakes" after i completed ...

Just a question: what lets us know that a descent-like game (i mean, the only particular thing to create is a zero-grav vehicle) is surely possible?
