I'm thinking about it this way: If we are the "only" group of 6DoF players currently playing, then when CD comes out (assuming that the game becomes a greate hit) will all be the best players, untill some of the GP noobs get better. hehe I won't be a complete noob anymore! there will be a ton of ...

I'm with you, in that there I don't think people should complain about being typekilled or spawnkilled. I could be mistaken, but I don't see that you're with me at all. Voicing a complaint vs holding a silent grudge makes no difference. Slapping the label "dishonorable" on to somebody in your mind ...

4. Play with honor . Typekills, spawnkills, etc. Noobs have to know what they are, and why they are dishonorable. If you think playing the game is dishonorable, then you -are- a n00b. 8) Hi. My name is not important. I must confess that apparently I am a "dishonorable" player. If it's in a ship, I ...

hmmm 1996... I'd been playing for 2 years by then, ya N00B! :D I think.. didn't d1 demo come out 1994?? :? Late Late 1994. And from there to January 1996 is not two years, unless one of them is a dog year. But before you all start spamming up the thread, this isn't a "when Kali started ...

Ten Years
So it's been ten years now since I first showed up on Kali to play Descent. If you remember playing with me in 1996 (you know who you are!) I'd love to hear from you. Pop in, say hi, tell me what you're up to, how it's going, etc.

There is an official strat guide, and it was written by someone who actually knows the game (someone I worked with in development). If you're looking for help, that is a good way to get it without having to pore over the Civ4 boards, trying to figure out who knows what they're talking about and who ...

Hardware T&L is required. Shader support HIGHLY recommend, as well. Avoid: GeForce2 or 4 MX varieties. No Shader. I think ATI 7500 is in same or similar boat. GeForce3's are good as are non-MX 4's. Anything above that is smooth sailing. ATI I'm not as sure about. Some ATI cards had an odd issue with ...

(by the way, you exercised a good argument tactic of the concession, something I rarely see here). Really? I thought the quality of debate was a bit higher than that here. ... Nice work with the figures, Sirian. Inverting Fox's stat to invent some sort of statistical center, as if 50% were to be strived for. You can't have it both ways, Vander. Birds is loudly and repeatedly harranguing FOX News in this thread for having more Republican guests than Democrats. Only... the ...

You never saw George Will do that about his network employer, did you? I watched for twenty years, maybe two out of every five shows, and I never saw it. Birds... I remember having this conversation before. I pointed out that ABC's Sunday morning news program, "This Week" (with David Brinkley) ran for decades with George Will as the only conservative on a panel with three liberals. Week in and week out! Now that's a THREE TO ONE margin... for decades ...

Re: Islamic Sharia Law comes to Canada
Ontario has allowed Catholic and Jewish tribunals to settle family law matters on a voluntary basis since 1991. IMHO the Muslims should have the same rights given to others. The Muslim men, you mean. Are all religions created equally? What if, tomorrow, someone started a religion whose "divorce ...

So I thought when I saw this thread title that, for once, Ferno had written an article on something. I looked forward to reading it. Maybe it would be funny. Maybe it would be insightful. It's not red tape, it is constitutional law. The feds are legally prevented from intervening until the governor calls them in. Furthermore, FEMA clearly mandates that it is not a first response organization and that they require 72 to 96 hours notice before they can arrive and assist. The governor ...

Bettina... I just made the move to LCD. I've been waiting for the tech to grow fast enough to suit my tastes. It is finally here: ViewSonic Xtreme Gamer with 5ms response time (4ms gray to gray). According to Madame Secretary of State, no help has been rejected and none will be rejected. So, apparently, we're caught up in red tape, because the help hasn't been accepted yet either. The mantra of the Red Cross is "We don't want anything but your cash." This makes some sense, in that many past ...
