Cute perspectives on \"Social Darwinism\"... When it comes to capitalism, I'm about as \"capitalist\" as it gets. Worked my way up from packer, to math scholarship, to engineer, to post-grad, to \"Fortune 500\" board room meetings, back to private industry, etc. My mortgage was paid off years ago ...

Re:
Illegal age discrimination only exists in the employment world, specifically to employees over the age of 40. (See the Age Discrimination in Employment Act of 1967). Disability is also a federally protected class. Is it abhorrent to discriminate against blind people driving? Let's say universal ...

Some elderly represent a danger to themselves and society, but \"testing\" by age clearly discriminates. Based on tech advances in precision GPS, I doubt it will be necessary. Either directly or indirectly, corporations already track our purchases, phone calls, and web activity. I can very easily ...

Good post, nice ship, and a great use for the steel. I worked within 1-3 blocks of the WTC many, many, years. (3 different buildings - on John St., William St., and Park Row.) I commuted there every day on the \"E\" subway train, getting off at the station at the lower level of the towers. I had ...

Social science “laws” are academic constructs which break down VERY rapidly outside of the pristine fantasy world of the classroom. Environmental contaminants like political contributions, bribery, nepotism, discrimination, malice, sickness, and old-fashioned organized crime chew ‘em up and spit ‘em ...

Agree w/ DCrazy. If these guys found a way to produce \"perpetual\" energy from a variation in a simple machine, they are creating more from less, something from nothing. In the science community, this would be BIG. Really BIG. This would put them on a level with Einstein, perhaps above. This would ...

What counts BEOWULF, is that your decisions got you out of that unscratched. I fought back and won during an assault, and my machismo wasnâ??t any better off for it. I live in NYC. A few years ago, coming home from a night class on a near-empty street, I saw down the block a panhandler asking people ...

LOTHAR My opinion is that you canâ??t MEANINGFULLY react to an event in the <30 millisecond range in a game environment. REACTION involves mental processing time, movement time, and device response time. If you could MEANINGFULLY react to an event in that millisecond range, youâ??d be able to dodge b ...

Hitting the gas throttle & shifting for a pro of that caliber within milliseconds is an anticipatory move based on experience, not a reactionary one. Thatâ??s why there ...

I can very clearly tell a playable difference between 60 and 95 MS, if you can't then you aren't fast enough of a pilot for it to make a difference for you. But seriously, between 0 and 2 MS...on a LAN, that is the optimal multiplayer condition. Nobody said "for internet play only". Human reaction ...

Subway Dancer pilots are experienced gamers and exceptional pilots.
