Hey folks, I've been away in Costa Rica for a couple of years. Heading back to California in September for a month. Looking forward to playing D3 again. I'll have to use my sons computer there and I'm sure it doesn't have a game port. Please put me down for one if you're still taking orders. Thanks!

Thanks folks, got to play some Skybox, Pyroglyphic and Fury today. Too much fun, I've missed playing this game :) Looks like the only way I can get back to a functional dsktop after quitting D3 is setting the desktop to the same resolution as I play in the game and choosing the option of maintaining ...

Thanks guys, seems functional now. Although the graphics seem to deteriorate a litle with time. Problem now is when I exit Descent I end up with a nonfuntional desktop. Some odd resolution that is tiled. I'm using a Toshiba M45-s2692 laptop. The video is onboard Intel 915GM/GMS chip which I'm sure ...

OK, got the stick and installed the software. Initially software recognized the stick and all was well. But when I reboot, the software no longer see the joystick as connected. Went to System/Hardware and the stick was disabled. Reenabled it and it seems to work fine in the game although I haven't ...

Back in the States for about 6 weeks with my laptop and want to play some online D3 (It's been a long time). I'm looking at the Logitech Extreme 3D. I like the idea of the 8 way hat since I used to use the good ol' sidewinder 3D Pro. Any comments advice?

DVD Backup
Hello folks, question about making DVD backup copies. I´m using a Phillips DVD burner, DVD decrypter for decoding, either Pinnacle Instant copy or Nero 6.6 .´Also using Ridata DVD R DL discs. Is there a way to assure that the layer change occurs at the same point on the copy as the original DVD.

I can mass tag in both Media Player and Itunes but they don't change the tag in the source files unless I pick something like genre. Both Itunes and Media player have a tag called "Category" which I can change in the program but they don't update the source file in My Music which is what I want to ...

Changing MP3 information
Just got a copy of the best 500 songs since 1960. I've added a detail column called "category" in both Itunes and music folder in explorer and in Windows media player. Is there a way to change this information directly in explorer so it will be recognized and listed under the same column in both ...

I received a flat panel monitor with my Dell. I remember hearing that there were problems playing D3 with flat panels. Is there a way to minimize the tearing with this type of monitor.

Just got my new Dell which came with a Soundblaster Audigy 2 ZS. Processor is Pentium D 830 with dual core processing 3.0Ghz, 800FSB. It didn't come with the little gameport dongle but it did have the pins for connecting one. In Device manager Creative Game Port is listed. I purchased a game port ...

Dell's Soundblaster Audigy 2 ZS (D)
Anyone know if there is a functioning header on Dell's version of the Audigy 2 ZS for the Midi/Joystick port bracket that comes with the retail version of this same sound card. I'd like to be able to just purchase the port bracket from Creative rather than replacing the entire card. The bracket ...

Back in the States from Costa Rica for a little while and have ordered a new computer. When it gets here one of the first things i"m going to do is load D3 and get the Sidewinder 3D Pro working. About to purchase a new monitor and would like to get one of the flat panels. Many moons ago when they first came out I seem to remember that they were not good for gaming (Descent 3). Is that still the case? Anything I should look for or avoid? Thanks

I could use a little help in upgrading my system. Finally gave up on trying to find a motherboard to replace my old Abit BE6II-Rev2. Abit no longer supports or repairs them.
