Amazing work on this. I installed this a while ago, but only a couple weeks ago got it working--it turned out that there was a version incompatibility with the perl Storable module. It may or may not be because I have a 64-bit system, but either way the checksum file didn't work for me. I found a ...

I find Linux to be easier for me to understand than Windows. Now, admittedly, I didn't really "get" Linux at all at first; I would always need help doing stuff, and I remained with Windows as my primary OS. Once I put Gentoo on my system, I found it refreshing that I knew so much about my system ...

"pure energy" Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't energy an attribute attached to matter? I didn't think energy can exist without matter. So I too think the "pure energy" hypothesis is flawed, unless of course you accept the idea of a pre-Big Bang universe as one that does not have the normal laws ...

I'll have to agree with Ferno and Kool here...some of the comments are a bit jaded for my taste and considering the level of intelligence for the average poster on these boards, bordering on racist. Let's not forget the riots of the civil rights movement here in America. African-American's had had ...

Muslims causing more trouble. Anywhere they are, they'll cause it. I hope to God that's a joke. I can picture them now reading and smiling about France.....at least thats whats in my mind. I don't think they would be. The base of this is really a matter of the French people mistreating these Muslim ...

Actually, now that I think of it, you don't need the socket non-blocking if you're using select(). The entire point of select() was to get rid of making it non-blocking. Unless that's a specific requirement for WinSock rather than UNIX sockets, and unless you're using it, you should probably get rid ...

The D3 query packet
I've heard many a time that the query packet to send to servers is documented somewhere. The problem is, I've looked everywhere (well, not everywhere, but a lot of places) and can't find it. So does anyone know where I could find this documentation? I've already gotten some stuff figured out, but I ...

Sorry for the noticeable lack of updates, I've been very busy with school and other projects. But I'm keen on getting this thing to be more useful, and implement server queries in it. A buddylist would be awful cool too. I'll see how far I get (Wed. is the last final! Woo!) (I'm not exactly sure if ...

What's with the new forum?
There seems to be a new forum named ADMIN: Patch your PHPbb... . Did the DBB get hacked or something, or is this a joke? Just a heads-up.

We need to move forward from here and get the source so we can port this puppy out! Agreed. I'd be willing to spend a great deal of my time working on a D3X. Imagine what the speed of development would be if we had that sort of thing. But the problem is that developers (mostly publishers, actually ...
