Re: Any of Team NuB still out there?
I was with NuB as well before going to [TA]. I remember Deadmeat and Vulgarus_Maximus. Just bought a new 3D Pro to play again and it seems like the only levels being played are the secondary fests like Subway Dancer.

The easiest thing I can think of is to buy an Isobox. An Isobox is just a souped up way to say sound proof box. I imagine you could just stick your case in one of those and have INSTANT quiet. But as far as PC cases, I would pick up a Lian Li PC6077 mid-tower or maybe even a PC71 full-tower case. I ...

Here is a list of 18 inch HP LCDs. Find the your model and try downloading/installing the driver for your model LCD. Can't hurt.

Good one, and I took it right back. Interestingly enough, I've had a brief sudden drop in production due to a few of my lappys getting bumped off the wireless-G, but they're back on. Plus today I added a 2.8Ghz P4HT, a 1.3Ghz Celeron-M, an Athlon XP-M 2800+, an Athlon XP-M 2200+, and a Pentium-M 1 ...

I have no experience with FoldMonitor. I remember when I first tried it I really didn't like it, so I switched to EMIII.
I suggest you try out EMIII. It has a nice gui, and a lot of features. It even allows for over-the-web monitoring via built in web server routines if that is your thing.

I'm curious to see what you have in store. I'm in the process of adding more machines, so you had better watch out. I'm not going to stay at just 1000 points per day, I'm going to see if I can crack 2000 a day...it'll be hard, but I think I can manage that.STRESSTEST wrote:Dev... dont be sure about that

1,000 points per day...
Finally made my goal of more than 1000 points a day average. Without the help of the four Centrino lappys that I've been trying to get folding.

Okay first of all, get rid of every trace of folding. Registry, files on the hard drive, and delete the services. To delete a service go to start | run | then type "sc delete <name of service to be deleted>" no quotes of course. After you delete the services you'll have to reboot to see the effect ...

True. Room for complaint is somewhat narrowed if you run the advmethods flag. As a beta tester myself, I certainly understand the annoyances of losing units due to various short comings in the unit, the server, the core, etc. I don't understand what you mean by it ended in a rare way. It seems after ...

You guys should have been folding back in the days of 2.0 and 2.19. Back when the best work units were worth 5 points (Protein A), and even a 10 machine farm wouldn't produce more than 400 points a week. God help you if you were folding with a Pentium IV. Back before Gromacs units, there were only ...

Lappy folding heat?
I've been folding for years, but just now noticed that the DBB had a folding team, so yeah, I'm definitely folding for the DBB now. However I've got a problem, well, a question. I have a few laptops (P4m, Centrino, A64m), and I was just curious to see who else around here is running folding on a ...
