The card was bad.

The \"blackouts\" started getting worse even in regular windows screen, and sometimes with the screen never coming on at all at boot up.

So I got a new card and all is well.

For consoles I like the Gamecube controller the best. I hate the PS2 controller, using one of those for long gives me hand cramps.

I haven't used a PC controller in a while but I liked the MS Precision Pro the best of the ones I've used.
