Re: Ever see Minority Report?
But Minority Report didn't use touchscreens... I saw it recently and Tom Cruise had colored markers on his thumb, index and middle finger. He didn't touch the screen. People always seem to get this wrong :? http://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=minority+report&qpvt=minority+report&mid ...

Re: DScent: Descent for the Nintendo DS
Hi zico, I've already sent you all the stuff to get started, so good luck and happy coding. Considering MIDI: you use SDL in DXX for playing MIDI and SDL is not available for NDS as far as I can tell (at least not in a usable state). I'd be surprised if you could get DXX to run with sound and music ...

Re: DScent: Descent for the Nintendo DS
Unfortunately not. Turns out a good Java developer doesn't automatically make a good C developer :P I could perhaps get SFX working, but for music I'd have to write a MIDI parser and create a soundbank and that's way beyond my capabilities. So my version will never be as good as the Alpha4 from ...

I am German and quite fluent in English, too. While I could translate these two pages, I simply don't have the time to translate so much text. The key difference between this technology and conventional lithium-ion batteries is that these new batteries consist of a lithium polymer and do not contain ...

https://dscent.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/dscent 1 bug fixed - countless bugs to go  I had a hard time bootstrapping the project and finding a way to debug it plus I have another project going on right now (but that should hopefully be finished soon). I hope the next bug will take less than ...

Re:
IIRC, you needed a card with additional ram for it to work. I don't think so. I can't find anything mentioned about this on the blog of the guy who ported this and the code has nothing about this, too. I also haven't set the emulator to emulate additional RAM and it runs there (with the ...

DScent: Descent for the Nintendo DS
Hi guys & gals, I don't know how many of you have heard of the project called DScent . It's a port of Descent 1 to the Nintendo DS :!: Unfortunately this project was discontinued the same year it was started: 2007. Even more unfortunate is that the author, a guy that called himself kayvenm, didn't ...

Being a Software developer I'm getting quite excited about the advancements in that area - the open source movement has given all kinds of tools a big boost forwards. When I take a look at things like NetBeans, JavaForge or the upcoming MIDP3 all I can say is \"boy will it be cool to work with that ...

Although I really think that Wiimote and Nunchuk are cool input devices and definately better suited to control descent than an XBOX or PS2 controller I don't think anything can supersede a flight control system like the Gravis Phoenix or the one BUBBALOU has. I really love playing Descent with my ...

IMHO she's still at least 1/8 to large - imagine that she has to sit comfortable where the cockpit is - watch the Descent 1 ending again to see how much space the pilot has in the cockpit nice model, though EDIT: you might want to add some detail to the Pyro - it looks quite a bit rough compared to ...
I'm 179cm (between 5'10\" and 5'11\") and weigh about 68kgs (150 pounds) My goal is to weigh more than 70kgs. I also eat more than anyone I know. Weight training helped me to gain weight (I was at 62kgs 2.5 years ago) and I will pick that up again. I just didn't have the time in the last 5 months as ...

thx for the try Sedwick, but I don't think it would work - the Gravis Phoenix is connected to a PS/2 or DIN/AT Keyboard port and the Gameport - the Keyboard is then plugged into the Gravis Phoenix, which hands the signals through to the PC - if I wanted to make a USB Adapter which makes a 4 Axes/24 ...

oh, I have a Gravis Phoenix, too and wow is that a great joystick - 4 axes and 24 programmable buttons plus great handling - what more could one want? Dunno what it's like in Newcastle, but when I was in London the food was VERY expensive, but most probably that has to do with London being the capital and having 7-8 million inhabitants n such...
