I haven't seen d2x-xl disconnect players in large IPX games. I often play in > 4 player games on Kali. I can't speak for UDP/IP games however.

Under 1.5.149 it appears that it's trying to display all the pilot names on the left side of the screen instead of 4-8 appearing on the right side as is usual. I noticed this in an 8 player kegparty game on Kali just now. On the bright side the new control-F7 feature does appear to work for pings ...

Under 1.5.137 I am unable to configure the sensivity of individual joystick axes when I uncheck \"sync joystick axes\". None of the changes I make to the axes seem to stick.

Does anyone know if D2X-XL works with the shareware d2 datafiles? Having a freely distributable D2X-XL distribution would bring the game to a larger audience. Tracking down the orignal game files can be a bit of a challenge.

It'd be handy if d2x-xl would remember your multiplayer setup options from session to session. Some things like pps and short packets can be configured in the ini file or from on the command line, but I find myself always having to check \"industructable lights\" and setting difficulty to \"insane ...

When I start a single player game with 1.5.55 everything looks fine, but if I start a multiplayer (ipx) game with 1.5.55 every color from the HUD to the mine, to the powerups is incorrect. It's like the color palette is all wrong.

In D1x there is this great feature where you can hit control-f7 during multiplayer to see ping and loss figures next to each player name at the bottom. Very handy.

How does the 'zoom' feature work? I have a key bound to it, I have "smooth zoom" selected in gameplay options, but I have no idea how it actually supposed to work.

Here is another bug I discovered while messing around with the weapon hotkeys feature.

Arrow down to weapon 0 (the bottom), and then hit your down arrow key one more time. Instead of taking you back to the top d2x-xl crashes.

In 1.5.47 (windows) the -pps switch setting does not work for me. I've tried it both in the d2x.ini file as well as on the command line. No dice, always stuck on 10pps.

D2 is not dead. Just this weekend I must have racked up at least 600 kills against people on Kali. I managed to play several 100+ kill games with Avatar. The people on Kali who actively play D2 multiplayer are badass however, so check your ego at the door.

My friend UJC has the spawn/spew problem, we're both running 1.4.48. When I kill UJC he sees his spew at his death point, I see his spew near where he spawns. We've messed with the gameplay options "fixed powerups spawnpoints" and "always spawn missles" or something like that, but to no effect.

win98 w32?

D2x-w32 crashes if run under Windows98. I realize Windows98 isn't NT based, but doesn't it support the w32 api? Should you be able to run it under windows98?
