It also happens at any other texture quality except highest, it's just the most severe at lowest.

I'm hearing this strange music in D2 briefings... all the time, every time. I believe that the music is actually \"briefing.mid\" in DESCENT2.HOG, but it should never be used.

I don't have any problems with it either, and I'm using IE. I do agree that the threshold should be increased, or the behavior removed entirely. I usually find it more of a nuisance than anything else.

How hard would this be to implement? You could name an *.hxm or a *.pog file the same as the *.hog instead of the *.rl2. Then if the *.rl2 had one as well it would take higher precedence. This would be nice so that you could save filespace and time by just having one *.hxm and *.pog file per mission ...

jakee, I don't understand what you're saying, but I do know this: the HXM file shouldn't match the name of the hog file, it should match the name of each level.

If I set a side of a cube to be a hi-res texture, then try to align it using "Reset Texture" in the texture dialouge, it is aligned as if it were a 64x64 texture, which in my case is only half the size of the actual texture. This means that it will be 2x too small. I can work around this by ...

How about support for (hi-res?) true-color briefing backgrounds? You could store them in *.tga files instead of *.pcx. Then it would be nice to have RGB color tags in briefings, instead of a specific index; ie "$C#FF0000", "$C#00FF00", and "$C#0000FF", which would produce red, green, and blue ...

NM my problem, I found a suitable workaround by setting 1st texture->water1-2 or -3, then setting second texture->water1-1. That gives the intended effect and you'd never know I had done it like that. :)
