Ripping DVDs
Does anyone know of any freeware or opensource (NOT shareware, trialware, or demoware) programs for either windows or linux that will rip a commercially produced/copy protected DVD? I've tried several programs such as Auto Gordian Knot and Handbrake on Windows and a couple other on Linux, and they ...
It will be one of those gadgets that will be fun to simply sit and watch. The only problem will be making sure the lasers don't end up pointing at things they shouldn't like airplanes or your eyes. Wonder how they will work around that detail... And for the sissies who cry inhumane, there are much ...

Yes wifi cards do operate at very low power levels, but it's not the power level that matters. It's true that the FCC has established \"safe\" exposure standards, but we really don't know what levels are truly safe. The big problem (and the cause of the hype and the reason we really don't know what ...

Guest account wifi
I turned on the guest account on my Win 7 computer so that a friend can use it without access to system settings and my files. However, since the guest acct has all limitations turned on by default (with no obvious way to change it), it cannot connect to a wireless network. Is there a way to ...

Re: Eagles Pyro GX
Justin Krentzs' Pyro imported from his 3DS file needs no "tweaking" and the textures included work. :) Well, the only problem is that Solidworks can't natively open a .3ds file, so as PyroJockey described it does take A LOT of tweaking to get it to work right. You can see this in the first two pics ...

Here's what to watch out for when buying discounted batteries-- Li-Ion and Li-poly batteries have a shelf life, meaning regardless of how much or how little it is used, it will degrade over time on its own.
