This kind of stuff goes on for both sides. August 5th when both candidates were in Sioux City, Iowa, Bush had an open rally that drew about 10,000 while Kerry had an invitation only "round table" for about 350 businessmen and labor leaders. What I am curious to know is if the same news station ...

I highly recommend the Welsh trilogy by Sharon Kay Penman. It starts with "Here be Dragons." It's historical fiction set amidst the struggle between Wales and England in the 12th - 13th century. No magic or hideous monsters (except for some of the English Kings) but lots of battles and castles and ...

Because the piece of equipment that was malfuncitoning was his transponder. Its pretty passive from the pilot's point of view so he's not really gonna know if it's working or not. He just dials in a number which then allows ATC to identify him on the radar screen. Probably more info than you wanted ...

Uuhh... yeah

1 MPH = .869 Kts
conversely
1 Kts = 1.15 MPH

Go back and look at your original post. You were converting from MPH to Knots so you need to multiply by .869 instead of 1.15. You had it bass ackwards.

BTW, I'm a Flight Instructor. :P

5000 MPH = ~4345 Kts
