Was that the gamepad with the tilt sensors in it? I think my one neighbor had one of those hooked up to Descent once, and it was an interesting way to play, albeit probably a wrist-killer. Like 3 years later I'm reading again this thread.
I have a Sidewinder Gamepad, does this code work on it or it's exclusive to the Joystick?
If the latter, does an usb adapter exist for the gamepad?
I'm assuming the gameport protocol is the same for the gamepad, is it not?

I've been searching for this, I think of two solutions:
- Make a converter of the gameport protocol (I think it's already made for some other joystick, should be compatible)
- replace its internals with a cheap usb joystick.
I guess I'll go for the second option.
