Bahagad I agree about, Lost Levels has a few quirks but really still most levels are pretty well designed and a lot of fun to play, IMO. Better with NO weapons mod, but it's easy to delete from the hog. I'm doing it on my YouTube channel (kakhome1) in fact!

Since XL levels are relatively small in number, how about just making a version of DLE that will read/display/save matcen data exactly the same way Rebirth reads it? That would be very useful.

The average difficulty of all levels as a whole. Like you could rate every level from 1-10 then divide the sum by 24 for CS and 20 for Vertigo. Though maybe with a little more weight on the last two-thirds, but not necessary if that is too complicated.

Well for now where it's necessary I'm using SDLDevil to read what the matcens should be producing and then modifying the data in DLE to match (by sector) before I save the level. This is a tedious process but seems to work. Perhaps only Vertigo will have this problem? It is possible something by ...

What input thing? I don't get what you're referring to. Also do you know of anywhere I can get DMB2 either for free or a very low price? For now, I upgraded to the latest Rebirth with has an option that makes this edit unnecessary. Hopefully I won't run into something else I can't stand in this ...

This occurs with versions of DLE I tried from 2012, 2014, and 2017. So probably all within that time range up to current. I was making a quick modification to Vertigo (d2x.hog) that required resaving all the levels. To be as least intrusive as possible I exported all RL2 files then re-imported them ...

Sometimes if I can get close up I have better luck stunlocking with Vulcan than Gauss. Gauss pushes it around a lot. Similar story about Plasma versus Laser (Laser pushes it more).

Hydro's biggest weaknesses are the first few levels and the lack of a soundtrack. Though I can at least try and find music I like from other missions is better than the default music. Perhaps the robot won't be a huge problem in the end, but boy is it introduced in a nasty way if you aren't carrying ...

The next level gives you Gauss right away at least. Perhaps he just wanted to introduce the robot with a bang...Not being nice, that's for sure!

There's a robot in Project Hydro starting on Level 10 that looks worse than an IDR or Vertigo MAX. Try cold starting that level on a high difficulty! Bet you won't get anywhere, at least not in one life.

Well if a level is easier than another one on a cold start, it'll definitely be easier on continous, right? It's kind of an "every A is also a B" question to me. Then again, maybe having stuff to play with right off the bat can make a bigger difference in some levels than it does in others. Anyway ...

That's a good list though do you have a second key binded to anything in case your finger is already busy? For instance with A/Q/Z you could not slide or bank left (A/Q) while firing secondary (Z), and also could not both slide and bank left simultaneously.

WSAD for sliding , numeric keypad for pitching... Pitching and turning is WSAD , as I wrote above. Or just make a custom texture, like with L23. It didn't bother me though.

Where can I download the D1 palette & how to reference/use it (i.e. set a rl2 to it in DLE)? I don't know how to change palette (PIG/POG) of a rl2 with DLE currently.
