Re: KFA2 GTX670
Okay then found some people vouching for the KFA2 and a review of it as well. Seemed like a good purchase choice till I discovered a little prerequisite that nvidia has for 2D surround vision. I just found this link and it boils down to that if you don't have DVI/HDMI/Display Ports natively on your ...

Re: KFA2 GTX670
I just realized I might have two problems if I want to upgrade my GFX. 1) My PSU is a Cooler Master Extreme 650W . The requirements for either of the two mentioned cards are 30 - 38 amps on the 12V output. From the link to my PSU the 12v is split into a 12v1 @ 18amps and a 12v2 @ 18amps. I'm ...

KFA2 GTX670
Hi I'm looking at upgrading my old ATi 5850 that has served me well and is still going strong be it overclocked to the max on watercooling. I'm looking at the KFA2 GTX 670 OC as a possible replacement as I find I need to start to compromise a bit more on quality settings with some new title, still ...

Re: nvidia 680 and 3 monitors
I've always ran in landscape mode, never bothered with portrait. I do know from an ATi point of view there was some issues with compatibly of menu screens on some games in portrait mode. Also the fish eye effect on the side screens is not there if I recall correctly. It seemed to turn the screen ...

Re: nvidia 680 and 3 monitors
If I was going to run a 4th monitor, how would I connect it? With an HDMI cable (hooked to the 680) and a dvi port adapter (to connect the other end of the HDMI cable to the monitor, which has no HDMI connection)? My monitors have 3 connectors: DVI-D, VGA, DisplayPort That would be my guess is to ...

Re: nvidia 680 and 3 monitors
BTW doesn't Nvidia have some new AA tech on these generation of cards that is better then the current AA at half the performance loss as well. So I think it is doubtful that there would be an advantage with 4gb over 2gb. I think it is like Krom said 2gb should suffice. Basically what I take from ...

Re: nvidia 680 and 3 monitors
Well what I've read is that more memory is better for triple monitor gaming but this is only true in the sense of frame buffering I think, don't quote me on this but don't expect a significant performance increase the processing power is still the same. Point in fact is I'm still running a 5850 1gb ...

Re: WaterCooling Project/Upgrade
Okay so I’ve taken the plunge and gone with the components as listed. The build is done and I’m rather happy with the result as this is my first Water Cooling system. Some notes I’ll take from this is: 1) Yes the tubing that I got was a rather pain for tight corners but it worked out in the end (the ...

Re: nvidia 680 and 3 monitors
The 680 has four connections if I'm not mistaken. 2x DVI's 1xDisplay Port 1x HDMI. I believe it will be a similar connection setup as to how the ATi cards does it. I have a 5850 on 3 screens and I use the 2 DVI's and an active display port adapter on the display port the run the third screen.

Uhmm yes if these new titles I've ordered arrive and they work with now hassle I might opt to get a decent PSU instead, say 900W+, as it was one of the components I had to compromise on to fit the budget by getting what would give me enough power with just a little bit of flexibility on my previous ...
