In studying electron movement, the people at Stanford have managed to record sloshing in water caused by an electron in 4 attosecond frames.... that's 4.0 Ã? 10^-18 seconds per frame, or 2.5 Ã? 10^17 frames per second.... amaizing.

The movie shows how electrons in the water molecules would respond on average if a point of charge were added. The team then decided to shoot a sequel--they imagined firing a gold ion through the water and created a movie showing the "wake" of electron motion that would follow the charged atom.
