That sucks to do that kind of damage to someones car just for laughs.
When I was in highschool we had a teacher, kind of a young hip guy, who drove an MG Midget and we used to turn it sideways in the parking spot so when he came out he couldn't go anywhere until he got the cars beside him to move. Kind of the same thing but at least we weren't doing damage to it.
We even got him at a nightclub one night and hid in the woods to see him react when he came out...sure enough, out he came with some fine young thing on his arm, walked up to his car and just started cussing and kicking the dirt.
The girl started laughing her ass off.
Our small-car-lifting days came to an end when a girl we knew well came to school one morning in what was then a brand new design from Honda. A very small car with front wheel drive. She pulled into the student parking area and three of us stood in front of her, she said "Don't you do it...!!"
Well of course we did. We lifted up the front end laughing and then she smiled, put it in first gear and let out the clutch...wheels spinning and us three sitting there struggling to hold it up screaming "Pam, put on the brakes...turn off the motor...stop..."
Everyone was laughing at the three idiots as we pleaded with Pam to let us go, our fingers slipping under the bumper, the spinning front wheels just inches from the ground, moments from dropping the front end and having that little car run us over!
I was in the middle screaming to the two guys on each end that if they bailed off to the side on me I'd kill them when I got out of the hospital, they were laughing back saying they couldn't hold on anymore...
It was hell.
She finally had mercy on us.
For weeks after that everytime she passed me in the hall she would smile and make little Vrooom Vroom sounds while pretending to be holding a steering wheel in her hands.

Gren: what's funny about it is everyone there is being hyperdefensive about it. as if their core was seriously wounded. Kind of like how mac owners reacted when they saw someone stuff some PC guts inside a G4 case.
Sure the vandals should be caught and prosecuted. that's not the issue. but hung, burned, or any of the extreme crap suggested on the board? no. The insurance will cover the damages.
It's just a car. not the end of the world.
