Wallpaper weirdness.

Post by Pun »

I just put a fresh system in one of my machines and now when I change the wallpaper in one profile, it changes in all the profiles. Anyone know how to fix this?

It shouldn't do that at all. Profiles are totally independant of each other.

Are you running a domain? If so, try going into the security policies and editing it there.

If not, try renaming the profile and recreate it.

No, I'm not running a domain. Anybody know what's up with this?

Does it work vice versa?

how do you change the wallpaper? for instance with mozilla: "set as wallpaper"?
if you do so, mozilla overwrites the old "mozilla wallpaper" with the new one. which results in showing up on each profile that has a "mozilla wallpaper".
same applies to apps. with a similar function, irfan view and such.

solution: save the picture to your hdd under the original name and assign it manually.
