2012 olympics,,,

Im thinking its between London and Moscow. Probably Moscow.

Marid, Paris, and NY are probably out because each country has hosted the games in recent memory. New York more so because 2010 is at Vancouver-Whistler.

After these comments, I think Chirac just blew it for Paris. Two of the selection committee members are Finnish. :P

Actually, some crackpot Belgian politician wanted to bring the games to Brussels -- or better yet, to Flanders. Luckily, his idea was quickly squashed both by the public opinion as the government. Belgium is too small and too divided to host the games :)

Jaques Rogge may be the president of the IOC, but that doesn't put Belgium in a better light to host the games. On a sidenote, I know Jaques Rogge personally, my sister married his sister's son ;)

Yeah, but there isn't much you can do about it - and it won't be the only thing planned out so many years in advance.

The location of the Olympic Games can't realistically be kept safe for long - people will know at least two or three years prior.

Would be funny if they tried to attack the Beijing Games. Ohhh boy...
