Lol... i think somone from washington had a word with the regional commanders in the uk as they reversed the decision allready....heads will roll fro that one.

that is weird. military ordered out, but US citizens not warned to stay out. Someone futzed up ;p

When I was in the Navy, there were places that were off limits all the time. It's a routine matter. It sounds like some base commander pulled the trigger a little fast on this by putting the lockdown in place.

I got a theroy on this.

US civilians come in, US civilians get blown up, US military comes back in.

Just a guess.
