grrr this ★■◆● pisses me off. I *know* there are occasional shark attacks, but many species are becoming endangered and there's no reason to have this type of sport hunting going on. blah.

Depends what it's been eating. I've had shark before, it was dissappointingly bland. Then again I'm pretty sure that was fishfarm shark, if this guy's been eating floating garbage and whatnot it could be very different.

I doubt a shark that big would be good eating. I've eaten shark many times and it's very good. It's a dryer, steaky fish. If it was bland when you ate it, whoever cooked it didn't know what they were doing. The key is a good marinade and short cooking time on a super hot grill. If you do it right, shark is delicious.

the shark was probabaly weeks away from a corinary anyway. fat ass shark.

scary lookin thing though.
(damn you jaws movie)

hey has anyone here seen that neat trick you can do to big sharks? as they rear up outof the water to eat something you have dangling (off a stick of course!) you put your hand on the tip of their nose they just go limp. it's weird, like they are hypnotised. you can push them back into the water with this technique too, you push them back and they just fall over peacefully back into the water!

I think I'm gonna leave the shark nose pushes to you, Shark-o-dile Roi-dee

Pun, I thought that sharks were like tuna, in that the size / age of the shark doesn't have much impact on the quality of the meat. Of course, that's hearsay so take it for what you will. I do know that proper cooking is key. You can turn a fantastically decadent Mako steak into a birkenstock with great ease if you're not paying attention.
