Russian spammer gets bludgeoned to death. I'd like to say I feel sorry for him, but I'm not sure I can. Maybe they should have stopped just shy of killing him?

I think thats a bit harsh to say good riddance to a man who earned money in a shoddy manner. You dont know who he is, mayby we was a good son to somebody, or a good father. Death for anything is way overkill, even as silly as sending spam each day. He didnt kill anyone, he's not a member of the mob, or a rapist (or a politician). All he did was give people harmless inconvenience, and all you people have to say is good riddance?
Some of you people make me sick.

Harmless inconvenience? Please.Top Wop wrote:All he did was give people harmless inconvenience, and all you people have to say is good riddance?
Harsh, but effective I suppose. That was probly the only way to make sure he stopped spamming.

There have been times when I've wished I could go through the phone line at these people (anyone ever see the movie Ghost Dad?). Maybe someone figured out a way... Perhaps some aspiring new ISP is "going the extra mile" in spam prevention. ;P
Anyone who's willing to do dodgey things like that for profit will get no remorse from me in the event that it bites them in the a**.
Recieving 3-5 e-mails a day that I'll have to delete doesn't bother too greatly. Knowing that there are people out there who make a business out of exploiting my private e-mail address really does.

I bet you feel the same about the 419 scammers that steal thousands of dollars from people. Oh yeah, these people have assaulted and kidnapped people and ransomed them. Yeah, harmless indeed. Spammers are scum, and deserve whatever punishment they get.Top Wop wrote:I think thats a bit harsh to say good riddance to a man who earned money in a shoddy manner. Yeah I would. What I find surprising here are some of the same people who thought what happened at the Abu Garaib (sp?) prison was so terrible are blithly stating it is O.K. to murder a spammer. While spammers do deserve some sort of punishment, brutal murder is not one of them.Dedman wrote:Being bludgeoned to death for making a legal living is a bit harsh donâ??t you think? Hell, even Woodchip might find that a bit harsh.
yeah i'm sure you all thought i would defend this guy.
no i don't wish him death. but i'm glad he is, after the fact. to be such an ass of a person, you deserve what you get, you know what you are doing is wrong and infuriates people, you know what people will do to you if they found out.
(the only reason for mercy would be if this guy for some reason didn't know what he was doing, like if he was a young kid. maybe if someone makes a movie about him that lets me hear his lifestory and how he's actually a wounded little bunny inside and deserving of our pity just like every other ★■◆● up out there. but i doubt that).
what you didn't know i had a dark side? what am i, mr angel?
the crux of how i feel about this was when i said:
"and the world seems right"
coz it does.
maybe it's just me and the hatred i have for the unfortunate dark arts of psychology - propeganda and advertising.

Ok, sending spam and kidnapping/assaulting people are two different things. The former does you no harm except extra bandwith and increase in costs, the latter affects people's lives. Death is not warrented to an idiot who only sends spam from the comfort of his home because he pisses you off that you have to delete some e-mails. Im sorry but the time you waste to delete those e-mails does not mean that the person who sends them has to die, oh high and mighty one whose time is so precious that if any second is wasted by someone then they ought to die. Get off your high horse.MD-2389 wrote:I bet you feel the same about the 419 scammers that steal thousands of dollars from people. Sure, but Jesus' advertising methods involved mostly demonstrations and word of mouth. Besides the voices-from-on-high in your head thing, it's much less obtrusive. And even then you'd only really get one message.SilverFJ wrote:Remember when they beat the **** out of Jesus and killed him? Now look at Christianity.

That's really a kind of funny analogy ... someone kills a big time spammer and he becomes a martyr ... the other spammers draw strength from his example and before you know it ... the world is inundated with spammers. Yeah, they screwed up in killing the idiot.SilverFJ wrote:Remember when they beat the **** out of Jesus and killed him? Now look at Christianity.
