P2P File-Sharing Programs

What's the latest, greatest & cleanest app for basic, napster-style file sharing? I use this type of app pretty rarely, and I was unpleasantly surprised when I found k-lite++ is apparently no longer working for me.

Emule and DC++ are my two favorites at the moment.

I use DC++ sparingly because of it's annoyances; hub system, minimum share limits (pretty much solved since I can share up to 550 GB if needed), annoying robots in charge of hubs, etc.

eMule is probably the closest to napster style, but is time consuming and you have to upload a lot if you want to get decent speeds downloading.

For grabbing individual files, I have a copy of Kazaa Lite K++, but most of my sharing is done one album at a time through BitTorrent. http://www.thepiratebay.org

Yeah I'm looking for more like a working K-lite, dunno why mine is being a pain. I just want to be able to grab individual stuff, I am all set for other types of software.

I'm living in austin right now and alot of the net providers (nazis) are keeping p2p blocked... how? They disabled a certain service that windows uses.. sooo... i use torrents all day.

They block the packet traffic.

I would recommend Phex as it works with Linux, Mac OS X, and Windows.

Second would be Gnucleus which is strictly Windows.

They are both FOSS applications.

I don't like K-Lite. I've read various things about their redundancy checks (or lack there of), but basically they suck. That's how fakes are easily introduced, and, even when downloading non-faked files, there's no guarantee they won't just download corrupted, such chances increasing vastly with larger files.

edonkey works great. There are a number of sites out there that work in relation to it that make for even easier downloads.
