D3edit and 3ds max units

Hi,

When I try to get models (boxes, for testing only) from 3ds max into D3edit i don't get them scaled perfectly.

To have the model scale to fit the grid in D3edit, what units (metric, inches, feet or generic units) should I use in 3ds max?
And what scale factor should I use in Oofeditor/Pofgen to go with the units from max?

What I want is to set up a grid in 3ds max and be sure that the verteces that are spot on the grid in max gets on the grid in D3edit.
