WTHeck haped to my custom ogf?

Post by Fusion »

Ok, got one for ya.
With the assistance of [NuB2]Stryker, I have made for my level a custom graphic ogf file. The ogf and gam files are valid, but for some reason it doesn't show properly.
Example:Image

Everything looks right in D3edit, but D3 is another ball of wax. :? :? :?
Any ideas?

Are you sure you put all the required files in the mn3?

it looks like portal that was neer connected.

It the editor, it won't show unless you have (render portals" enabled which is, incedently, "off" by default.

the checksum won't find two rooms not connected in error if the the shells are good.

is it a 256 by 256 texture?

those do not always work. When they don't you get a white texture instead.

Also make sure the gam file has the correct size selected. So if it was a 256by256 graphic you would need to check the 256 box.

Yes

It's the end of a tunnel. No portal required.

gam file settings are correct, including the 256x256 flag. Everything looks right in D3edit, but it suddenly doesn't like it... I use the Q menu in D3edit to make the mn3. DwnUndr thought it might be because I used the D3Image Tool to convert the TGA file to OGF.

if that is a deadend, there is probably one of a couple things going on.

1) you have a face that is convex, or rather non-plainular.

2) the texture is all stretched out. try realigning it.
