You guys wanted a descent-style game? Here it is. This game was made by a german company galled revo-games, and is pretty fun. They recently released a beta demo, which is available in the forums.

The game itself is like a fast-paced version of hoard played on an outside map. The controls are more simplified than descent's, but definitely workable. For example, rotation of your ship is not possible, so they made an all-powerful version of descent's autoleveling feature. Needless to say, performing a flip is really awkward. Obviously, there are a few kinks to be worked out, but it's worth a download.
