... but I finished it.
I posted a topic some time ago concerning my undertaking a restoration project (this boat)
Finally finshed it. I'll have a page up soon covering the whole project. But for those of you that don't remember (probably a majority, it really was a while ago) it's a lightning class sail boat. I found it rotting in a parking lot and began the slow tedious process of restoring her. A couple dozen "I can have it finished in a month"'s later, I screwed in the last bolt.
Better late then never.

Aha, I remember your original post from five ago! It caught my attention because I enjoy sailing, and I have a friend who builds wooden boats.
Looks like you did a great job! Congratulations!
P.S. Sailboats own motorboats!

As a woodworker I for one can appreciate the effort you put into the boat. Good job...looks really first class.

Sweet! My father and his two brothers grew up racing that same boat, he loved it above all others and he'd sailed a lot of different boats in his life.

The boat looks great. I love boats. Now you just need to do something about the trailer so when you are pulling it down the road the entire ride looks hot hot hot.

Ha.
Ironically, he's right, the trailer is a big problem. I've already been pulled over once and fined for it.
Most likely, I'm just going to buy another one. It's in rather foul condition.

Yes, that boat deserves a better trailer. Perhaps that is the next project eh?
Looks very nice, Kudos!

That appears to be no small task. It must inspire deep satisfaction to complete your project so successfully.
Now hoist ye a jolly roger and round up the crew. There's pirating to be done.

Sorry for the quality of the picture, I'll get something a little more decent up.
But to give you an idea of what I started with...

Beautiful restoration, I really like that deep blue and it looks like Teak trim? Great job.
