Moscow LAN Party on 24 September 2005

Post by akula65 »

MidiV posted an announcement concerning the upcoming Moscow LAN Party in the Russian language section of the Russian Descent Outpost a few days ago. Here is an English translation:

"05 September 2005 - MidiV
I want to mention that the absence of announcements on the main page of the site does not signify that "everything is dead." In the forum, life is boiling over to the max! =) So don't forget to drop in and read/write.
It's September outside, and that means that its time to organize a Lan-party! Therefore, this announcement: On 24 September in Moscow, the next meeting of Descent fans will take place under the motto "Descent IV is dead, long live Descent 4!"
We will await those wishing to participate at 11:00 AM Moscow Time at the Vladykino Metro Station in the center of the hall.
An earnest request: declare your intentions to participate in advance! This is necessary in order to order computers for the event.
Send an application in an email to Roman, Vitalij or to the forum!
In the Descent 2 files section, it is possible to download all missions from Descent 1 converted to Descent 2. Hi_octane, thanks!
And last for today - work on the new project is going full pace and soon (I hope) there will be some pictures. The pessimists are resting. :)"

Take lots of pictures, MidiV!

"Descent IV is dead, long live Descent 4!"

Let the Russian Descent Outpost enlighten you, my son. :P I've seen MidiV at a few D2 Revivals, although I'm usually heading out when he arrives due to the time difference.

Unfortunately, MidiV said that only four people showed up for this event, although more had promised to come. He said that they played 2-on-2 Monsterball for at least four hours and had a blast.

Demos, screenshots and statistics are posted here:
