Well then try 30 shots, knock down 2 medium steel plates, then 2 shots into each paper torso targets 13 total, don't hit the hostage targets and finish by knocking down 2 small steel plates....in under 12 seconds...including one reload!

wow!
Very nice shooting.
We have a similar pistol course here in so. Oregon. I havent ever visited it as we(family members) are all high power shooters(m1 garands,M-14's, M-16 etc).
I myself havent shot competively for 8 years, But my step-father is still very active. Been thinking its time to return to the sport. Image

Was that a special competition magazine? Sure did hold a lot of ammo.

Definitely, the whole gun is custom built.
Double stack magazine well, ammo is a reduced load for less recoil, weighted barrel end for less recoil and quicker target aquisition after firing a shot, probably ported barrel to send combustion gas upwards to counter recoil...

He probably picked that point to reload knowing a fresh magazine from that point would allow him to finish the run and waste the least time by reloading at that point in the run. You try to reload when your moving anyway to not waste time...
15+ round magazines are common in those competetions.

All in all the sport is very un-realistic when compared to actual police shootings but the skills they develop make them very fast and acurate in a real life situation even when they shoot a stock pistol with full power loads.

I've tried it, it's a very hard thing to master but it's a lot of fun.

That guy's like a shooting robot! How steady are his hands? And what about that reload?? Makes a Quake 3 weapon switch look slow!! And as for the accuracy? WHOA!
