btw, can we turn off the *bash has edited* thing? It just clutters up posts and serves no purpose, imo. As someone who considers editing the final step in posting, I'll be less inclined to correct spelling and grammar if it looks like I'm changing my posts. I often don't see the mistakes until after I hit submit. Do we really want bash to look like a dumbass? Don't answer that.

Hmm. Interesting. It only seems to post that message if someone else has posted. I've already edited this post six times. Scratch that, seven. Eight.

the only thing that bugs me about PHPBB is you can't persist the "show topics from the past X" setting for some reason I can't fathom.

that particular problem is with the hardware the DBB is currently hosted on.
