Told you it wouldn't work

So after the big Gaza settlement pull out, all was going to be hunky-dori. Israel showed its commitment to the peace process and of course the Palastinians would do in kind for the Israeli people. Heh...not.
Maybe it is time for Egypt, Syria, Jordan and the Saudis to send in a multi arab force to take over Palastine and eradicate Hamas...you know, kinda like when Syria went in to Lebanon to quell the fighting there:

"At least four Palestinians have been killed in an Israeli air strike on two cars in the eastern part of Gaza City.

The Israeli army confirmed it had carried out the strike, the latest in a series launched in response to earlier Palestinian rocket attacks."

I'm getting so sick of precision weapons; they need to bring back WW2 style carpet bombing, not because it is more effective militarily but because it is more effective psychologically.

I didn't say stop developing smart weapons, having a guided bomb you can launch from anywhere and land it on some terrorists eyeball can definitely be a handy. I'm just saying for every smart bomb we make, we should make 100 dumb ones. :P

Do a Dresden style bombing campaign on a Palistinian town for every rocket attack and suicide bombing; and it won't take long for the Palistinians to realise it's a zero sum game they are playing. Once the bombers realise their relatives are going to die en mass will make the next bomber hesitate and have second thoughts.
All this tit-for-tat gamesmanship does is promote more bombings.

Wrong Woody, the Israelis have pounded them for years now and each time it just makes them madder. What makes you think they will develop brains now?

Because everyone on this side are being too soft, a stupid policy of trying not to harm so called "by standers" doesn't work. If we told the Palistinians that they will ALL suffer for the actions of the few extremists they would probably actually start working to cough up those extremists rather then looking the other way at best and activly aiding them at worst.

Change their priorities, they want to act like they live in the stone age, so lets pound them back into it, that way it will be more authentic!

Jewish suicide bombers is the correct answer - not carpet bombing.

carpet bombing just makes Israel the next veitnam.

Hamas has promised to stop firing rockets into Israel from Gaza.

Let's hope they mean it this time.

If they didnt last time why trust them now? i say forget about dealing with them democratically seeings how thats not the type of system they use anyways.

Would make alot better sense if we treated them like they treat us/others.

What do you expect when the Palestinians are getting shot at randomly by the Isreli army? Randomly shooting into homes of women and old people who arent armed? The Israli army are just as guilty as Hammas for terrorism, yet you wont hear this on American pro-Israel media.

Also dont confuse the Palestinians for the few who would take it too far. But then again what do you expect when you have menial arms vs a highly equipped army thats getting its equipment and funds from a world superpower? And randomly shooting in the general direction of homes with no regards of who is innocent and harrasing people with no real objective of getting the terrorists but for the sake of harrasment? Even Israel's own Sharon admits that Israel has been too eager in its landgrab over the past years (and in doing so buldozing homes with people still inside them!)

I agree, its pretty sad but you still have to remember must countrys around there are NOT democracies.

I.E Israel is still dealing with them like they deal with people, sort of like kill or be killed.
