My grandfather lives in Mobile. Luckily he just lost power and wasn't affected by the flooding.

You know what, they shouldn't try and dry out those areas that are lower than sea level... we could just have our own little Venice and have canal boats. If they are going to have to rebuild anyway why not create something unique in the US.

On a side note why do you think all of those trunk lids are up on those cars in that photo.

Looting probably. Either that or they were used as temp shelters during, or after, the storm.

Interesting idea yes, but I don't think Venice gets hit by hurricanes that often. :P

Well, the Big Easy is about 8 ft. below sea level so we aren't talking about massive heights. Since a good portion of it is in need of rebuilding it's a good time to start.

Maybe if they had electronic trunk releases and they shorted out but I doubt it. Most likely looting but I would expect to see smashed windows in the other cars too.
