... absolutely the most beautiful game engine I have seen yet. I just bought it yesterday from Best Buy for $20. It is well worth the money I spent on it.

I buy these games in order to examine the special effects and to try and reverse engineer the techniques used. I am intrigued here simply because of the water. This is the best water I have seen short of a full wave simulation. Currently I use two semi-transparent sheets of wave textures separated by a few inches in altitude and moving in opposite circular patterns. While that works well, this technique is much better.

Farcry did look like an awsome game. I might go buy it for kicks. I've been digging into UT2004. Darkside and I have some pretty unique ideas for it and we get to play with the big boy tools this time around. :)

Yeah, I just got this, too (finished the SP today). While it does look very, very nice, I thought that the gameplay was a bit lacking...
