It'll be like the old days, when guys drove cars without rollover cages, in leather helmets! Clearly those guys were heroes, or idiots, and possibly both.
hhhmmmm another thought passed my amused mind.
Wonder if pulsing the `burner will do as in d3?
It did bring to mind OGR for a sec when I first saw it.
heheheh & yay i beat roid to it!!!
cheers

I believe that you are wrong there RC. Looks to me like a solid design and ... well ... the faster they go the more quickly the lift builds (see bernoulli principle). The wings have a great deal of curvature on the top surface especially at the fuselage junction. Couple that with the awesome control that the forward canards will add and I think they will fly unbelievably ...
The designs in the pics look like a stylized version of the Long EZ. I believe that Rutan has tested that design with a rocket in it and it did just fine.
And Iceman, the Bernoulli principal is out dated as a model to explian lift.
I thought the faster you go forces the effective control to the rear of the wing. Isn't that why they sweep the wings to the rear and give them larger control surface on super-sonic air crafts? (I know these are only going about 1/2 sonic speeds).
