static-free envelopes?

Post by Hahnenkam »

I'm selling the memory from an old laptop. When I upgraded the memory, it came in some sort of special envelope. I've lost it (the envelope). I checked both BestBuy and Staples, and neither seems to carry anything similar.

So, do I need to ship it in special packaging to protect it from static?

Fry's MIGHT. I would recommend a SERIOUS electrons shop. Where they sell components and stuff. typically pink plastic will work the same too as pink is "Universal" for ESD safe.

You could probably go to any computer store and ask if they have any extras.

Not many serious electronics shops around here. I'll check Radioshack and then go back to Bestbuy and see if they have any extras.

Thanks :)

Rule 1 of PC building: retain at least 20% of your antistatic bags, and keep ALL motherboard bags.
