much love to the chicago baseball teams; as far as i'm concerned, they're the cousins of the red sox and are to be treated with respect.
p.s. first the red sox last year and the white sox this year? i tell you, if the cubs come out of nowhere and win next year, i will be convinced that major league baseball is rigged.

Go argue semantics somewhere else. This thread is a congratulatory thread that I made because my home team won the WORLD SERIES. If you dont have something to contribute that is within the realm of the spirit by which this thread was posted, shut the hell up.
For the sake of continuity, I've deleted the troll threads as well as responses to them. Thank you very much and have a nice day!
It's great to have a championship sports team back in Chitown!

Yes! It was a sweep. I gotta say, I'm not a huge sports fan, but I have enjoyed going to Sox games since I was a child. This has been exciting for us south siders. Those of you who missed this series and the ALCS missed some of the most heart-pounding, nail-biting baseball ever. Awesome! Congrats White Sox!
It was exciting to watch the games, except for that last one when they went 8 innings without scoring. I dont watch baseball on a regular basis but watching them play was quite exciting and made me appreciate the sport more.
Now here's to the Bulls! They came close last year and they keep getting better. Should be an interesting season for them.

Just odd that two teams, both with 80+ years without winning a title, win in back-to-back years. They both sweep and both are colored sox...hrm....
go figure. Guess that is why I love this game
congrats Chi-town. Get ready to celebrate again next year, something tells me MLB will setup the Cubs to win

That's the one thing I sorta regret--not bringing my camera. I left with a bunch of friends from school at 11:30, and we were originally planning on going home first to change and get our sox gear on n wutnot. But we didn't want to miss any of it since the parade started at 12, so we went straight to the Kimball train station. A few of my friends got some pretty crap-quality pics on their cell phones. I'll try to get those up when they upload em.
