BlackShark: Probably covered before but.....

Post by Nosferatu »

...are blacksharks really that bad a bandwidth hog? I've seen BlackSharks left in non-lan games and when they go off I really havent noticed a bad ping spike or net loss.

Do BlackSharks count as another player or something like counter measures?

Just curious if there is anyone who might be able to site some real numbers instead of "In my experience".

I have a couple individuals that do like to play Skybox Ev, who are fans of the BlackShark who want me to reenable them if I'm going to host Skybox Ev.

No. BS are only another weapon -- people just don't like them :)

Wrong forum BTW..

Oh ya I guess it shoulda went to ServOps but it also involved a question about bandwidth so its not exactly off topic here either.

But thanks. Im going to add Blacksharks back in.

Never had a problem with them when they were still around plenty, I grew quite accustomed to using them and I was on dial-up for a large portion of that time.

Back on topic, Black sharks are fun as sh1t! I love playing with them ... to bad there are so many puss1es that are afraid to learn to play against/with them. I have never noticed any kind of spike BTW.

I swear that the BS missile was custom made me for me. I LOVED launching one of those bad boys into the middle of a fight and then throwing a napalm missle or a mega right into the middle of it. Good times, man. Good times!

I used to set up my Compaq AMD-500 laptop as a server with 6 PC's playing into it.

Black Sharks were being launched everywhere. Sometimes 6 at a time. I never noticed any lag or delay.

The best fun was to discover someone was hiding in an adjacent room. Launch the shark near the door and then flare the door.

Shake that stick and pulse the AB and soon you will not fear the shark anymore.

Even the sheep are turning you down now?

And I think the word you meant to use was "to" not "too". If I was your manager, I am afraid I would have no other option but to fire you for being lazy and stupid.
