Kali + Linksys WRT54G v5 = No Joy

Got a little problem here. I got DSL a couple weeks ago. I've been really enjoying the very fact that it doesn't take freaking forever to download anything anymore. I've even been enjoying the 50 - 60ms ping times in D3. However, kali doesn't seem to want to play nice with my router. Before I go any further, yes I have read the sticky. I do have UDP port 2230-2240 forwarded to my local IP (all IPs on the network are STATIC). You can view my settings here . I can launch kali with no errors at all. I can connect to the tracker just fine. However, when I try to connect to a server, I recieve a popup message about ports changing. These port numbers are RANDOM. I even tried putting my machine in the DMZ. No dice. Kali is the only program I have issues with. I've run my machine directly to the modem itself (using ethernet only) and it works fine. There are NO firmware updates for this router. Using another router is NOT an option here since there are clients in the house that use the wireless portion. Stringing cat5 wasn't an option either.

Suggestions?

edit: Version of kali is irrelevant. I tried 1.68 as well as the current 2.x

Here's the kali NAT message I get on startup (I enabled special NAT messages).

your dsl company assigned you a static ip?

why isn't your connection type set to PPPOE and MTU auto assigned to 1492 DNS info goes in your NIC config for static ips, also you need to disable the DHCP server inside your DSL modem too if you have like a westell and set it to always on not on demand

DHCP server on basic should be disabled

read my info under kali setup. your settings are wrong 2213 set on first system, then +1 on each other (UDP or Both) btw i have the same router

Yes, I have a static IP from my ISP. If I use PPPoE, I will not be able to connect to anything. Setting it to static is the only way I can get online. DHCP is disabled. All IP's on the network are static, so it made no sense to have it enabled.

The DSL modem I have is a Paradyne6381-A3-200 rev D3

It'd be nice if you were on kali or TS right now though.

your modem currently is set to pppoe and you need to adjust that by being connected directly to the modem and accessing its internal webpage and set it to bridged ethernet then connect to the router and set it to pppoe to handle the funtions. what modem do you have??? so i can give you a direct link to the configuration page at dslreports.com

you can still do all the static ip as you currently have in the router.

what is your dsl modems name and model... if it a westell it is real easy

His forwarded protocol is UDP only - should it not be both TCP and UDP?

Yeah, setting it to both TCP and UDP is a good idea.

It is his modem..... he is wating to get a new one

The problem is that the "modem" won't act as a proper bridge, thus kali won't work. Now quit necroposting.
