Barcode scanner recommendations

Title just about says it all, I need a couple barcode scanners, USB would be nice. Newegg would also be nice, but if there is some place better I'm open to suggestions.

I only know that they need them for scanning in votes or something to that effect.

All the scanners I've worked with are PS2 port scanners, I can't recall the model offhand, but get one with a stand.

A search for barcode labelers, etc will usually lead you to the bardode readers. they all seem to be very pricey and I have rareley found them on standard PC reseller sites.

I came across a hand reader that will work with my Dell X50V thru Aximsite.com. I think it has to be connected via the CompactFlash card slot. Perhaps it can be used in other units.

See if you can find some Cuecats (remember those?). We used them as cheap barcode scanners in the office; there's software to strip all the Cuecat info from its output and just get you whatever barcode it read.
