rats, I thought this thread was about Iced Earth.

Still, that's a nice looking car. I don't understand why so many people despise Bangle's designs. I think they look awesome. Much better than the older, more conservative BMWs, IMO.

Still, I'd rather take a Porsche :P

I think Bangle's been listening to his critics. There's a lot of style in that frontend but it stops just short of overstyled (such as that monstrosity, the Z4). Very nice. I wish they hadn't photographed it with that front nameplate on, however. And who could object to 500 horsepower?

You couldn't drive a car like that. You would go to the store and it would be on your mind every 5 seconds as it sat in the crowded parking lot.

I just love ma' Stangs yo!!

I dunno, guess it runs in the blood to love Ford's. Particularly the Stangs, my favorite car, and feasible to buy too. :)

Check out the stereo system that comes standard on that baby and I love the metalic gray look with the white stripe going down the front. :)

I love the design of the BMW, its perfect and not overdone like some other car models from other manufacturers. And I love how the new Mustang uses the much older and origional style from before. Very sexy! There were other cars that attempted to mix the old with new style and turned out to be ugly, but this one they did a GREAT job on.

But I still like Cadillacs. :)

Messenger, you have good taste in cars. I'm a Ford fan, and love the old Mustangs, and I really like how this design pays homage to the ponycars of yore. It looks friggen sweet.

Bleh @ the new Mustang. Theres a fine line between "paying homage" and "plagiarism" and its definitely the latter.

Sadly, I agree with Vindy. American marque designers have been creatively bankrupt for decades now and the *new* designs are either downright fugly boxes or shamelessly pandering to nostalgia. Why, for instance, is Ford re-issuing the GT40? Cool car, very powerful, no doubt, but wtf? Can't someone design a next-gen legend rather than simply update a last-gen one?

bash: Same reason the old cartoons like TMNT and He-Man have been brought back. Because retro is "in"....

I think that points to a sorry state of timidity within American business. We once were the risk-takers, the crazy in-the-garage inventors. Now it's all based on proven past sales. That strategy might work in the short run but it doesn't bode well for the future.

Bleh, I'll still take my Stang just because I have always been an old schooler even if I didn't grow up in that time and I say more power to 'em. That, and it is just secxay!! :)

I think the over-abundance of female Mustang drivers would agree with you. ;)
