ROID

i finally got it

i have only played a few hours of multiuplayer so far and i don't know any maps. and i am kinda sucking, but getting better fast.

but come into musltiplayer i try to kick your ass

A few map's I would recommend for d/l:

Stadium

Burning Indika 3

Skybox

Skin like Winter

Fury

Ascent

Abend

VaricoseVeins Guardian

...these are a few of the most played maps. Of course, if you d/l Vortex and use it to join games and chat, there is an auto d/l feature on the 'join game' page of each mission...links are often dead tho.
Also, I'm sure your aware of Planet Descent, "the largest D3 missions database on the net"

Don't forget Halcyon and http://d3.descent.cx is a good place to find active games if you don't have Vortex.

If Pyroglyphic is up and running give that level a try. The level was an all time favorite of mine.

Pyroglyphic and anything by Hostile is amazing. Popular anarchy maps like Skyboat and Abend make baby jesus cry. Baby jesus says say NO to secondaries.

for someone who hasnt played d3, roid did fairly well. he wasnt bouncing off the walls unlike some ppl new. lol, got lost in skybox!!!!!!. all in all, good first game roid, had some fun until we got company then it got kinda hectic. so, let me be the first to say 'GG roid'

Oh, and for the record, most people that live in the States probably don't even know what real high-ping play is unless they've played on European servers or with a 56k - and preferably both at the same time.

Abend was one of the first custom levels made. Others were worse. Curious .. it gets played a lot.

Kinda like the acadamy awards. The movie that gets all the praise is not necessarily "popular choice".

Personally, I hate veins .. any variation.

yeah ... i just got the d3 running under linux and have been trying to shake off the rust on single player... been terrified of the multiplayer again... beeeeeeeen soooooooo looooooooong.

my hands are now partially numb.

i think i'm getting close to "pwning status" now. In 6-8 (?) player stadium anarchy Beo beat me 150 to my 120 or so.

i had 350ms ping
