DBB Move

UPDATED - MOVE COMPLETED - Post problems/issues in the DBB Feedback Forum please!

It's possible that a few of the newest posters are missing avatars. At this present moment I am too tired and lazy to deal with it!

The DBB will begin the move tonight, I will backup the database tonight and begin the move.

Worse case a couple of days, best case 4 -6 hours.

KB,
it could be my technical uselessness.... or there may be a problem that i should report to you.

my avatar is a red x. i tried uploading a new picture 3 times and everytime it has sql errors on the top of the screen and it remains a red x. in fact vinces is a red x.

ok im done typing red x... it's almost a band name 500,000 other geeks came up with.

I didn't move the latest of avatars but will do so, was up till 4am trying to get this running

and started again when I got home from work.

I hadn't planned on addressing it tonight but your post changed my mind, if your avatar is on the DBB I will bring it over.

I changed the settings on the avatar directory, maybe what I had wasn't ample. Hopefully that will correct the issue you mentioned.

DescentBB.net is the preferred but not for everyone for a day maybe two, for some of us the DNS switch was almost instantanious (sp?)
and yes it was freaky.

I wonder why yours isn't showing up? I just finished transfering ALL avatars over from the DBB.

When did you last upload it?

As you can see I was able to add an image to your user profile. It was from a file I have locally.

Feel free to change it. For whatever reason I guess your image was one that didn't make the move.

I'm experiencing intermittant long load times. Can happen at anytime, like when entering a thread it may take 5 min. to do so. Other times loading is very fast. Have experienced it at all different times of the day.

Maybe it is just Copsy's new avatar.

You are correct roid, for most people descentbb.net should already be functioning.
