I'm using this one that I just made on one of my computer:

No, but why would you want to do that when you can physically resize the image and achieve both higher quality and smaller filesize?Lothar wrote:(Yet another reason to allow HTML: I know how to force image resize using HTML img tags. Does UBB support that?)
Perhaps because HTML is much more convenient for those of us that know it like the back of our hands. I didn't see an abundance of people abusing the ability to use HTML on the old board to warrant it being shut off on the new one anyways.
on Topic, I also have that wallpaper BF posted though I rarely use it.

Re: Desktops
Shrinking the image via width and height commands typically does a pixel resize, whereas you can do much higher quality resizes with a graphics program. It's not about compression.Lothar wrote:tet, how would I get a 'higher quality' image by shrinking what I currently have? I'm not familiar with any form of compression that increases data content.

Re: Desktop...
Actually, there is a vBulletin mod on the Hard Light forums that basically shrinks down the image to a given resolution, and all you have to do is type in [sized]image here[/sized] and it'd do it for you. You could also just post a thumbnail and link to the full-size image. Thats what, a 3 second job in any decent image editor? It shouldn't be that hard to port to phpBB, if there isn't a mod already out that does this.Lothar wrote:My desktop

MD -- I posted this first, and then you posted the thing I made the "3-second job" comment about. You didn't get my back here, so I figured, why get your back over there?
And yes, a mod like that would be nice -- but it's still nonstandard code.

Change cometh - a new daily binge from NFS4. And for fun, Real-Life, NFS-style! Hahaha! (taken on the Colorado U.S. 36 highway)
