40,000 people have tentatively signed up for a ride into space at $200,000 a trip. 280,000,000 space port to be built in New Mexico. Whee! Now i've got a reason to work harder.
I would have to go if I could afford it. I would want to stay up there for longer than a few minutes though. Sub-orbital space tourism sounds neat but it only takes you up for a 15 or so minute ride. I would like to go for the orbital space tourism program that lets you go up for an entire day. 15 or so minutes is like a really cool roller coaster ride.
Yes, but it must be into orbit. I'd take the trip with odds as low as a 90% chance of survival - so that's 5 times more dangerous than the existing shuttle.
