The Christmas-Tree-Pic Thread 2005
Credit for the picture goes to my rubbish camera. The tree isn't even finished yet
No tree up this year, instead we get 2 really small ones to put next to the fireplace. First time this year we didnt put it up, mostly because we dont have the time and its a pain in the ass since its so big. Its fake so you have to unbend every damn branch from the box which is pretty right. Its an all day project, unfolding the branches alone takes 4 hours.

Apparently, our family is finally getting a digital camera this Christmas, so if I figure out how to work the damn thing before the tree comes down, I'll be sure to get a shot of it. Several different types of lights, wooden beads, lotsa tinsel, hundreds of ornaments, a miniature train display...nothing like a good tree.
erm... sorry i hope no one freaks out for the glaringly obvious necro post!!! but i just glanced and saw robo was the only one brave enough to post a pic... so i snapped a quick shot of my crappy fake tree that gets its own corner there... i will snap another tomorrow morning when i put out the GIANT (ummm think 120 gallon garbage bag) RED 'SANTA' BAG filled with santa gifts... for me it's not the tree thats important, but whether you can still see it when you get done buying gifts for the kids!!!
lol... i just wanted people to post here... cause it seemed a shame no one was.
the pink wrapping paper was on my daughters' presents... last year was hello kitty wrapping... this year was disney princesses. i will post a pic of most everything unwrapped and under, around and in front of the tree....
(nope... that pic wasn't everything i got for 'em )

Our tree:
Actually it's our first own Christmas tree ever. We got it for our son, because we want him to experience Christmas as Christmas-like as can be.
No tinsel, no fancy tip, because my wife and I hate kitsch. Straw ornaments and silver and titanium finish glass balls.
Our son got a few presents. My wife's and my 'present' didn't fit under the tree - the tree fits in the present (new house).
When we were putting up the glass balls, our son got hold of a box full of them and broke 70% of the box's content. My wife had to go and get new ones only a few hours before shops closed. D'uh. I wasn't exactly amused, but she got what we needed.
