Access to the current source

Post by courtjester »

Is there a way to access the most up to date source (cvs or otherwise)? Currently d2x-xl is at 1.5.86, but the only downloadable source I can find is 1.5.77. If we had access to source, we could help with debugging and also produce our own Linux binaries without have to wait for one to appear on the d2x-xl site.

BTW, thanks for bringing Descent back into my life. I had forgotten what an awesome game it is. And it is so much more playable with the mouse fixes. Many kudos.

Thanks. Somehow I thought this information would be on the download page. Shoulda thought of looking on the install page.

Most recent source code w/o Linux make files is always available in http://www.descent2.de/resources/d2x-xl-unified-src.zip. Though this is kind of unofficial, its 100% reliable.

Is it be desireable to have automatic svn revision snapshots? It would be pretty easy to make a script that would tarball up the source code each time a revision is committed and have it uploaded to a website. These would of course be 'unstable' like any given snapshot system, but could be grabbed by anyone not desiring to install subversion.
